Grant Roper Farmer, 91, passed away in Orem, UT on October 24, 2014. He was born to Erastus Leroy and Hattie Roper Farmer on June 4, 1923 in Grace, Idaho. He married Estella Lenore Loveless on July 20, 1948 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 1988. He later married Lillian Wohlgemuth Severts on June 4, 1989 in the Jordan River LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on February 23, 2011.
Grant Farmer was a stalwart worker for the salvation of his fellowman as demonstrated by the fulfilling of four LDS full-time missions including one as mission president (Northern Indian Mission, Rapid City, South Dakota, 1963 - 1967), service as a trainer/counselor in the Boise Temple and as a sealer in the Boise and Timpanogos Temples, and by his continued faithful service as a patron in the temple until the time of his death.
Survivors include his four sons: Ken (Lorraine) Farmer; David (Pamela) Farmer; Kelly (Lynn) Farmer; Tim (Lori) Farmer; 23 grandchildren 61 great grandchildren; a brother Glen (JoAnn) Farmer and a sister in law Ruth Farmer. He is preceded in death by both of his wives, his parents, siblings, Lavon Farmer; Duella Tippets; Ann Giles; Walton Farmer; and Fern Davis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Legacy Branch, 10124 South 1300 West, South Jordan, Utah 84095. Friends may call on the family from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. In addition, a viewing and memorial service will be held at ����������������11918 W Ustick Rd, Boise Idaho on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 10:00am. Burial will be in the Cloverdale Memorial Cemetery, Boise, Idaho.
