Glenda Eldoris Johnson returned home to her Heavenly Father and other loved ones on March 30, 2024, after a painful battle with cancer. She was born September 21, 1947, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Norman and Eldoris Isabella Hardman Fenn.
Glenda was a crafting enthusiast and found joy in sewing and quilting. Her many crafts included sewing dresses for her daughters and granddaughters, making baby quilts for family members, and making cloth diapers and blankets for humanitarian efforts. Her green thumb prospered in the garden, and she found joy in bottling all of the food she grew. Glenda also enjoyed cooking and is known for her amazing homemade bread, scones, cinnamon rolls, and noodles. She was also very dedicated to doing family genealogy and keeping family records up to date. She even put together binders full of genealogy records and stories of ancestors and gifted them to many family members. In her free time, Glenda often puzzled her way through crossword challenges, and enjoyed playing Rummikub and Skip-Bo with her family. A bookworm at heart, Glenda found solace and inspiration in reading scriptures and novels alike. In her younger years, her competitive spirit shone brightest during fishing trips, where she never failed to outdo her companions in reeling in the catch of the day.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Glenda cherished her time spent attending the temple and finding peace and fulfillment in her religious practices. Glenda was a lady of immense faith and in her last days wanted nothing more than to return home to her loving Heavenly Father and savior, Jesus Christ. She loved all of her family and was known for remembering everyone's birthday and giving them a personal card and phone call on their special day. Her warmth, kindness, and love touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on those around her. She will be greatly missed.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Neldon Paul Johnson; sisters, Marilyn VanEvery and Ann Strasburg; children, Terry Walker, Cindy (Gerald) Barnes, Trudy (Chuck) Richardson, and several step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Eldoris; her first husband, James Deloy Walker; her son, James Walker; her second husband, Clive Buchanan; brother, Donald Fenn; and daughter-in-law, Dianne Walker.
