Glen fuller

Dr. Glen Robert Fuller, 65, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, returned to the loving arms of our Father in Heaven while surrounded at home by his family in Highland, Utah on November 25, 2015 after courageously fighting a battle with lung cancer.
Glen was born January 19, 1950 to Gerald Ralph Fuller and Glenda Richardson in Mesa, Arizona. He grew up in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. As a young man, he served in the California and California East missions. He graduated from Brigham Young University and received his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma Medical School. He married Sara Ann Gillen in the Salt Lake Temple on May 24, 1973.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Glen served faithfully throughout his life in many callings, including bishop of the BYU 140th ward. He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and exemplified his love for the Savior in all he did.
Glen served his country in the United States Army. He was board certified in both emergency and family medicine. He practiced at Premier Family Medical (formerly Tri-City Medical) in American Fork, Utah for 30 years. Glen was a cheerful and compassionate doctor who loved caring for his patients.
He enjoyed running (especially marathons), hiking, and traveling. He loved planning fun family activities: skiing, camping, and unforgettable family reunions. He was a life-long learner--striving to learn something new each day and eager to share what he learned with others.
Glen was always happy, optimistic, and hard working. His generosity inspired all of us, and he never said a negative or unkind thing about anyone. Glen was a warrior who never complained or let discouragement get in his way. This quote Glen found describes his attitude during his fight against cancer: "Cancer is limited. It cannot destroy love, shatter hope, corrode faith, destroy people, kill friendship, suppress memories, silence courage, invade the soul, steal eternal life or conquer the spirit." He lived his life in service to others.
Glen is survived by his wife Sara Ann and children Jared (Mayra), Roy (Annette), Brent (Brooke), Lanae Rosenlof (Trevor), Dustin (Lauran), and Kristiann Watts (Boston); his 16 grandchildren; and his siblings Gerald, Gilbert, Barbara, Gordon, and Gene. He was preceded in death by his brother Grant, his father, and, just three weeks ago, his mother.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland Stake Center, 5335 West 11200 North. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. in Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Friday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
