Everett L. Morse 1933-2014
Everett L. Morse graduated from this life on Thursday, June 26, 2014 in his sleep at his home. He was born February 13, 1933 in Elko Nevada to Howard Morse and Lillie Hankins as one of the three children. He had a wonderful life living on a ranch, attending a one-room school house and later graduating in 1955 from Elko High School. He continued working as a ranch hand in summers and attending Utah State where he graduated with a BS in 1956.
He married Laura Hiatt April 2, 1955 and is survived by his wife and son Barry Morse and wife Meg, son Lucky Morse and wife Tammy, and daughter Sandy Morse Allred, and daughter-in-law Gail Morse, and 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Althea Bowen and Herleen Peterson, and son Wayne Morse.
Everett worked in Dugway, Utah as an ecologist where he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 2, 1962 and sealed in the Manti Temple on January 12, 1963 to his family. In 1973 Everett was employed by United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and retired July 1995. Since retirement he worked at Target for several years. Served a mission to BYU Family History Center. Served as a consultant in family history centers and served in his ward as financial clerk.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork First Ward Chapel, 381 South 300 East. There will be a viewing Monday, June 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the American Fork First Ward building and on July 1st from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
