Elvia Rodriguez de Leon Romero George beloved mother, sister, mentor and friend passed away on March 28, 2016. She is survived by her five children Jeanette, Michael, Rebecca, Carlos and Elizabeth; as well as 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and her brothers Max and John.
Elvia earned a BA from University of Utah in Secondary Education, graduated from Institute of Religion, received her Teaching Certification, received her Secondary Education Counseling Certification, and ultimately a Master's Degree in Education Psychology. Elvia was a teacher and counselor for the Granite School District for over 20 years.
The last years of Elvia's life were very family focused and filled with gestures of love and kindness. Elvia strove for excellence. She loved life and she lived passionately and well. "If you can dream it, you can do it!" This is a motto she lived by. She will be sorely missed.
Services will be held Monday, April 4, 2016, 12 noon at Andersons & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland. Viewings will be Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Messages of condolences can be received at andersonmortuary.com.
