Edith Powell passed away on July 3, 2014 with her family at her side.
Born in 1943 to William Sterling and Ethel Blattman, Edie married Lawrence Eugene Powell in 1959.
Edie was extremely talented and created many works of art that will be treasured by many. She loved to learn and try new things.
Genealogy was also a love and a passion. Edie spent countless hours researching her family lines and helped many others research their ancestors as well. She loved learning about the lives of these people and felt she knew each ancestor personally.
Edie was a member of the LDS church and served faithfully in many callings throughout her life.
Most important in her life was her family. Her children and grandchildren will have many memories of their times with her.
Edie is survived by her husband, Larry; four children, Richard Eugene, Tod Sterling, Cheri Stover, and Christopher James; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four sisters, Gail, Judith, Lee Ann, Kathryn and one brother, James Elliot Blattman. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 13th Ward, 970 North 60 East. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the church prior to the services. Burial in the Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale, Utah.
