Dorothy (Dott) Fay Crookston Capell, 61, of Lehi, UT passed away November 1, 2014 after a courageous battle with ALS at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 17, 1953 in American Fork, Utah the daughter of Donald Orin and Donna Fay Olsen Crookston. She married Bruce Joseph Capell on January 12, 1991 in Highland, Utah.
Dott grew up in American Fork and graduated from American Fork High. She worked for an optical store, was a beautician for many years and worked as a construction receptionist. Dott had a knack for making people love her. She always instilled a happy spirit where ever she was and whomever she was with. Some of her talents that she loved to share with others included: crocheting, knitting, quilting, and cooking.
Survivors include her husband Bruce; her children: Sonny ( Bobby) Greenwood; Travis Prestwich; Shyan (Chris) Valentine; Coy (David) Nedesky; Klint (Emily) Capell; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and brother Dean Crookston. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi 19th Ward, 150 East 1500 North, Lehi. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Friday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial in the Lehi City Cemetery.
