Doreen and Jack Doyle were reunited after a separation of only one day. Lila Doreen Hampton Doyle, 84, passed away February 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family in American Fork, Utah. Jack Eugene Doyle, 87 passed away February 6th, 2021 at his home also surrounded by his family. Doreen was born January 5, 1937 in Abraham, Utah to Armon M Hampton and Ovena Grace Jensen. Jack was born July 21, 1933 in Lehi, Utah the son of John William Doyle and Martha Alta Street. They were married August 26, 1954 in Elko, NV.
Doreen loved her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She loved cooking, gardening and was an expert at canning food for her family. Mom was truly the hub of the family, she was the person everyone came to for advice, comfort, and a listening ear. She loved camping with her family, fishing, and hunting in Vernon, Utah.
Jack loved doing yardwork and gardening and was known for how beautiful his yard was kept. His hobbies included golfing, fly tying, and fishing with his brothers and he loved bowling and traveled to many bowling tournaments around the country over the years. Jack and his love for baseball guided many young men over the span of 15 years as their baseball coach. He was also proud for the years he served in multiple community roles for American Fork City.
Doreen is survived by her children: Gary (Becky) Doyle, Douglas Doyle, Cynthia K. (Kenneth) Wayne and Connie Mae (Robert) Ackerman, 11 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, siblings: Mike (Carolyn) Hampton and Ron (Diane) Hampton, and her sister-in-law Leora Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Von Hampton, Monte Hampton, Merlin Hampton and Del Hampton, Kay Kofford, Lamae Bennett and Arvil Hampton. Jack is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and his siblings Don (Carol) Doyle, Dee Doyle, Bob (Verlyn), Paul (Maryann), Karren (Dale) Mitchell, and Loraine (John) Worthen. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Kathy Devey.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the American Fork Cemetery, 26 West 600 North. A viewing will be held from 10:45-12:45 at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork.
