Dennis (Denny) Lee Carlisle, 81, of Alpine, Utah passed away February 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born May 16, 1937 in Alpine, Utah to Alton Richard and Lila Beryl Bair Carlisle. He married Mary Lyn Brown on November 10, 1957 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on May 13, 2003.
Denny was a man who loved to work. He was a machinist for Valtek/Flowserve for much of his life. He loved to travel with his wife, especially to Alaska. Denny was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a financial clerk for several decades. He lived his life “on time” and always said, “I have never been late for anything in my entire life.” Denny believed in being prepared which led to him creating a software program, D-Soft, and a food storage business called Backyard Basics.
Survivors include: his wife Lyn Carlisle, sons Craig (Denise) Carlisle and Kent (Sandy) Carlisle, a daughter-in-law Belva Carlisle Bushman, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and his sister Lorriane Dyer. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Kyle Carlisle, a daughter Shauna Carter, 2 great grandchildren Kambri and Collin Barney, and his siblings Joanne Beck, Neil Carlisle, and Noel Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 13th, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Mountainville 2nd Ward, 165 North 100 East Alpine. A viewing will be held at the same church Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 AM, prior to the services. Burial will be in the Alpine City Cemetery.
