Brad Brown

September 1, 1967 — February 12, 2025

Delbert Bradley "Brad" Brown passed away unexpectedly while swimming with turtles in Barbados on February 12, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on September 1, 1967, in Provo, Utah, Brad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

Brad married the love of his life, Dorothy Thomas Brown, on June 1, 1989. They were the ultimate complement to one another, building a life filled with love, understanding, and unwavering support. Brad was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who deeply loved his family. His wife, children, and grandchildren were the center of his world. Together, they raised two children, Daniel Bradley Brown and Loriel Brown Watson. Loriel and her husband, James Watson, blessed Brad with five cherished granddaughters-Lilly, Hannah, Rachel, Grace, and Becca. His family brought him endless joy.

Brad was a man of deep faith, living as a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ and His gospel. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served faithfully as a missionary in the Denver, Colorado Mission. He was also a student of Eastern philosophy, incorporating mindfulness and empathy into his daily life, which shaped his gentle and thoughtful nature. He had a lifelong passion for technology and earned a degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. Computers were both his vocation and his hobby-he loved learning about tech and keeping up with the latest advancements. Music was also a source of joy for him-he played trombone and baritone in high school, played the piano and guitar, and loved to sing. He was also the sound man for numerous recitals and concerts.

Brad is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Thomas Brown; his children, Daniel Bradley Brown and Loriel Brown (James) Watson; his grandchildren, Lilly Watson, Hannah Watson, Grace Watson, and Becca Watson; his mother, Jeanette Mackley Brown; and his siblings, Lisa Jeanette Brown, Christine Brown, Trevor Mackley (Erica) Brown, Cynthia Brown, and Patricia Brown. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert B. Brown, and his granddaughter, Rachel Watson. His kindness, intelligence, and quiet humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 1305 N. 100E. American Fork, Utah. The funeral will be closed casket. There will be a visitation before the funeral from 8:45 - 9:45. The funeral will be from 10 -11 A.M.
