Debra Arlene Richter Robinson was born March 23, 1957 to Bob and Verna Richter in Corona, California. Mom's childhood was marked by her father's military carrier. She was always very patriotic and she proudly wore the badge of military brat as they moved all over the country. Her favorite stop was Hawaii were she learned to hula dance as a young girl. On June 9, 1978 she was sealed to Ray Robinson in the Los Angeles Temple. They had 3 children Amber, Michelle, and David. She threw herself whole heartedly in to the job of mother and homemaker. Debbie took pride in creating a beautiful home. She was a girl scout leader and PTA president. She also loved The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent many years serving the children of the congregation while in the Primary Presidency. Mom was also an accomplished seamstress making everything from Ninja Turtle Halloween costumes to church dresses and even Prom dresses.
When her kids left home Debbie returned to school and got her bachelors in psychology from UCI. Debbie had a generous heart and tirelessly served those around her. She founded a charity called Project Move Ahead for homeless women. Mom's church service continued as well as she worked in the temple and taught early morning seminary to the youth. And while her days of sewing Halloween costumes were over, she gifted many people with her quilts or bags.
Even as she battled cancer twice she continued to serve her friends and family. She was a devoted grandma to her 6 grandchildren and was always up for something fun. With her passing on January 31, 2025 she leaves a legacy of creativity, service and hard-work. She dearly loved her Savior and her family.
Debbie is survived by her husband of nearly 47 years, Ray Robinson, and her children Amber (Andrew), Michelle (Ryan), and David (Rose). And by her grandchildren Asher and Liesel Kretchmer and Noah, Jacob, Graham, and Isla Bailor.
