Deanna Young

Deanna Carol Jones Young, 65, of Pleasant Grove, passed away suddenly June 25, 2022 in Murray, Utah.  Born February 7, 1957 in Spanish Fork, Utah the daughter of Charles Robert Jones and Carol Virginia Barney.  Deanna married Melvin Jesse Young June 6, 1979 in Ely, Nevada and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 6, 1998.  Deanna loved quilting, sewing, canning, gardening, and traveling.  Her family was her focus in life and she loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.  Family road trips and adventures will always be remembered.  She worked as a nurse for the State of Utah for 35 years at the Utah State Mental Hospital and at the Utah State Developmental Center.

Survivors include her children Andrea (Michael) Gore, Jolene (Abraham) Yaksich, Jennifer (Vernon) Peterson, Gilbert Marc Young, Melanie (Collin) Craghead, step-children, Calvin Young, Julie Lee, Lynette Taylor, Michael Young, and 12 grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by the love of her life Melvin just months prior, her parents, a brother Michael, sister Patricia, and her step-daughter Machelle Pace.  The family will be receiving guests at an open house Tuesday June 28, 2022 from 2 to 6 pm to share memories and visits with moms friends at her home  1009 West 1800 North, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
