Dawn Higley, 67, passed away on November 24, 2022, in Salt Lake City, UT. Dawn was born in Provo, UT to Paul and Jeanne Carlson. Dawn married Robert Higley of Grantsville, UT on July 14, 1979 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Dawn graduated from the University of Utah School of Nursing with a BSN RN, as well as, a MSN and became a certified diabetes educator. Dawn worked as a nurse for 33 years. Dawn volunteered for many years with the American Diabetes Association as a patient advocate.
Dawn had a passion for sewing, crocheting, and reading. In addition, she loved to play the harp. Dawn was a member of PEO and enjoyed helping young women receive scholarships to local universities. However, most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
Dawn is survived by husband Robert Higley, children Austin (Vicktoria) Higley and Cole (Alyssa) Higley, granddaughter Madison Kern, siblings Noel (Lauren) Carlson and Roberta Carlson, and nieces Haley (Ethan) Davis and Annan Carlson. Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jeanne Carlson.
The service for Dawn Higley will be held Saturday December 3rd, at 2:00pm at American Fork Presbyterian Church, 75 North 100 East. A viewing will be held Friday December 2nd, at 6:00pm at Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North in Highland, UT.
