David Max Fackrell, 89, passed away January 14, 2015 in Highland, Utah. Born April 3, 1925 in Hunter, Utah to Leo Parley and Mary Eusebia Smith Fackrell. He married Vonetta Maurine Hardman May 26, 1944, in Magna, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Max worked at Kennecott for 33 years. He owned and operated Fackrell Mink Ranch with his son David for 56 years. He served in WWII in the merchant Marines in the Pacific Theater.
Dad was the hardest worker we know.
Max was an active member of the LDS Church. Serving in many callings and loved the church.
He is survived by his wife, Vonetta, children: Diana Poulsen, daughter-in-law Marla Fackrell, Brent (Loraine) Fackrell, Pamela (Ralph) Grider, Sue Barlow, Sharon Brocious, Maurilio Ortega (Elizabeth) adopted son, 26 Grandchildren, 27 great Grand Children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son David, a daughter Lori Ann, a granddaughter, Cami, 2 brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland 37th Ward, 6800 West 9626 North. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. in the Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland and Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Park.
