Darrell J. Proctor, 91, passed away September 17, 2015 in American Fork, Utah. Born August 16, 1924 in American Fork to Darrell Gardner and Elma Gertrude Wells Proctor. He married Rosemary Tuttle on July 14, 1942 in Preston Idaho. They later solemnized their marriage on January 12, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. Rosemary passed away July 17, 2007.
He saw many parts of world while serving on Army Hospital ships during WW2. He was employed at Geneva Steel for many years as a crane operator and was a lifelong farmer. He loved the Gospel and served in many callings. He especially loved being an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple and a missionary at the Bishop's Storehouse.
He is survived by his children: Sharon (Ernest) Dean, Steven (Kathy) Proctor, Ken (Vicky) Proctor, Scott (Vonda) Proctor, Mark (Sue) Proctor, and Bill (Jo) Proctor, 37 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren, a sister, Merma (Gaylon) Winters, sisters-in-law Kathryn Proctor, Kathy Proctor, Dorothy Griffths and Dorothy Tuttle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Robert, Blair, and Dan. 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 5th Ward, 380 South 300 East. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Wednesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
