Darrell Wilford Lewis, 83, passed away on April 12th, 2015 at home with his loving wife by his side.
Darrell was born on Jun 4, 1931 in Menan, Idaho to Wilford & Myrtle Lewis. He was the youngest of 6 children. Siblings who preceded him in death: Fern Scott (Lyle), LaVae Jackson (Keith), Ray (Betty Walker), MaeJean Hoopes (Gerald). He is survived by his sister Gwen Hendricks (Dayley).
Darrell grew up in Idaho and after marrying his sweetheart Geraldine Dalley in the Idaho Falls Temple, he was called and faithfully served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Central States Mission for two years.
For the last 64 years since his mission, whether in Idaho, Arizona or Utah, he has "Done whatever it takes" to serve Heavenly Father in many leadership capacities in his church, community and family.
He is survived by his wife and 14 children, Jerri Lyn Gibson (Mike), Shellie Baddley (Rick), Darrell Wilford Jr (Jodi Stevens), Ruth Ann Brooks (David), Patricia Wageman (Howard), Edward (JaNae Beck), Pamela Wright (Ron), Amy Louise McKay (Lee), Jolene Ivie (Darrin), Michael (Lisa Rawlings), Laura Marie Calder (Quinn), James Mathew, Kristeen Riding (Mike), Jonathon Mark (Haley Romberger). He is preceded in death by three grandsons and is survived by 75 grandchildren and 69 great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing Friday April 17th from 6-8 at Anderson Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork, UT (due to construction, please use 150 North). On Saturday April 18th will be a viewing from 9:45-10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at the American Fork 25th Ward Chapel, 300 N. 455 E. American Fork, UT.
