Daniel Scott Udall, 56, passed away April 16, 2020 after an auto accident. He was born November 7, 1963 in Merced, California to Elias Earl Udall and Naomi Tew Udall. Daniel grew up in the Oak Hills area of Provo, Utah. He graduated from BYU in 1986 with a degree in urban planning. His hobbies included writing poetry and studying geography. He had a passion for BYU sports. Dan and his brothers shared a love for cheering on the San Francisco Giants. Daniel enjoyed spending time with friends.
Dan was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he served a mission in Wisconsin for his church. He enjoyed his ward activities, firesides and dances. Dan had a strong testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and the divine calling of latter-day prophets. He spent many hours doing temple work. Dan had a particular interest in church history and in his own family’s pioneer heritage.
Dan is survived by his sons Scott Udall and Brian Udall, and by his brothers King (Cathy) Udall, David (Laurel) Udall, Steven (Lesa) Udall, Bruce (Karen) Udall. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister Suzanne.
Dan was a gentle soul and his warm smile will be missed by all who knew him.
