Dale Cluff

Dale Nielsen Cluff, 99, of Alpine, Utah passed away peacefully December 6, 2020.  Born November 16, 1921 in Pima, Arizona, the son of Archibald Carlile Cluff and Vennus Johanna Nielsen. He married Beatrice Rae Marks November 28, 1943 in Bisbee, Arizona and their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She preceded him in death August 24, 1986.  He later married Lorna Marjory Bell November 28, 1986 in Pima, Arizona and their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa Temple November 28, 1987. Dale was a rancher, miner, and flooring contractor. He loved riding horses, working with cattle, camping, reading, building wooden structures, and gardening. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings during his lifetime. He served in the army during WW2 and Korea.

Survivors include his wife, Lorna, children Melody Wright and Mark (Susan) Cluff, daughter-in-law Barbara Cluff, step-children, David (Valerie) King, Gregory (Diane) King, Patricia Cooke, Elizabeth King, Charles (Debra) King, Joseph (Judi) King, Peter (Gayle) King, siblings, Ralph Cluff and Edith Nelson; 30 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.  He is preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice, his son Lawrence, his sisters, Vesta Morris, Ora Lee Boyle, and Margaret Chesley, his brothers, Choard Cluff, Leath Cluff, Ferrin Cluff, and Val Cluff, and his parents.

Due to COVIID-19 funeral services will be held by invitation only on Friday December 11, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North Highland, Utah. It will be live streamed via Zoom for those unable to attend. A viewing will be held Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the services and will require you to use the sign-up genius at the bottom of the obituary to attend. Burial in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
