Claudia Hanks

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Claudia Biggs Hanks, who left this Earth on October 8, 2024, in Provo, Utah. Born on October 7, 1934, in Richmond, Utah, Claudia was a beloved daughter to her mother Hilda Biggs and a devoted mother to her son Tim Hanks and daughter Susan (Hanks) Richardson.

Claudia dedicated her life to her passion for sewing, crocheting, and quilting. One of her claims to fame was that there wasn't an article of clothing she hadn't made. She found joy in singing and tending to the yard and garden, creating beautiful and welcoming homes for her loved ones. Her talents and warm spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Susan (Rodney) Richardson, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Carole Hayes. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Darriel Hanks, her son Tim Hanks, her parents, and a brother, Larry Biggs.

A funeral service will take place at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork on October 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Viewings will be held at Anderson & Sons Mortuary on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 15, from 9:45-10:45 AM. A graveside service in memory of Claudia will be held at Burley Gem Memorial Gardens on October 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM.

We will miss Claudia and cherish the memories of her stitched into our hearts.
