Cindy Lou Christensen, devoted mother, and treasured friend, passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 64. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 20, 1960 to Ronald C. Shammo and Alta Fae Crosby Shammo. Cindy made her mark on the world through her vibrant personality and creative talents. After graduating from Eldorado High School in 1978, she pursued her passion for beauty, eventually becoming the proud owner of Grid Hair Sound, where she shared her love of hairstyling and makeup artistry with countless clients.
Cindy had a magical flair for enhancing beauty-not only through cuts and colors but also as a specialty makeup artist for plays at Spring Mountain Ranch and Cashman Field. She was renowned for her artistic gifts and for creating stunning makeovers, always leaving her clients feeling fabulous.
She was also an accomplished artist and decorator, essentially turning everything she touched into a work of art. She loved the theater and watching all award show specials such as the Grammys and Oscar's.
Her playful spirit shined brightly during her years as a song leader and choir director at Eldorado High School, where she fostered a love for music among her peers and her cherished Sound of Sun-Pop Choir.
Beyond her professional life, Cindy had an undeniable passion for family and friends. She cherished time spent with her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. Her two beloved chihuahua companions, Lulu and Gracie, were a constant source of joy in her life. Whether hosting delightful parties, crafting memorable gifts, or sharing laughter over games, Cindy had a knack for bringing people together.
Cindy's spirit for life was apparent in everything she did-from arranging flowers and decorating for the holidays to cutting hair and styling beauty. She had an incredible talent for making ordinary moments extra special, and her generous heart knew no bounds.
Cindy is survived by her father, Ronald Shammo; her children, Carlito Rayos, Antonio Cline, Amelia Cooper, and Derek Christensen, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her siblings Ronda Stoker (Mitchell), Tina Waldron (William), Kathryn Bingham (Jon), Carlee Lane (Richard), Terry Shammo (Crystal). Though she has left this earthly realm, her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she gave.
