Carolyn Kaye Estes

January 22, 1936 – November 10, 2022

Carolyn Kaye Estes, 86, of American Fork, passed away peacefully with Alice by her side November 10, 2022.  Born January 22, 1936 in American Fork, Utah the daughter of Kenneth W Morton and LaRue Robinson. She married Gordon Britton and they later divorced. Carolyn married Arthur James Estes, April 5, 1972 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She attended USU and later BYU where she graduated in Elementary Education. She became a teacher at 22 and taught for 40 years, beginning in Langlois, Oregon and later in the Alpine School District in Utah. She learned to play the piano and organ as child. Playing was her passion and after she retired from teaching she was an organist during the week at the Conference Center in Salt Lake. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day serving in many callings and leadership callings.

Survivors include children: Dennis Estes, Artis (Cloyd) Allgier, Monte (Cindy) Estes, Alice (Dennis) Murphy, David Britton, Roy (Satana) Estes, Vonda (Gary) Longmire, Chris (Leah) Estes, Jared Estes, 38 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur two daughters Careen Hardman and Melanie Fuller and son Marvin Britton.

The service for Carolyn Estes will be held on Saturday December 3rd, at 11:00 AM at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, located at 49 East 100 North in American Fork. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 AM-10:45 AM.
