Carol Jean Carter Rawlins, 90, passed away on September 12, 2022, in American Fork, UT. Carol was born in Orem, UT to Clyde Carter and Elva Bigelow. Carol married Stephen Rawlins on June 25, 1952, in the Logan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Carol served in many church callings, including the Ward Relief Society President twice, Stake Young Women's President and a Counselor in the Stake Relief Society Presidency; in addition, she taught Early Morning Seminary for 5 years and team taught Seminary with her husband for one year. She and her husband served as temple ordinance workers in four temples and four two-year missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved needlework and quilting and did some amazing designs. However, her greatest accomplishment was raising her 7 wonderful children.
Carol is survived by her husband, Stephen Rawlins, children, Diane (Vaughn) Mayo, David Rawlins, Douglas (Jennie) Rawlins, John Rawlins, Linda (Duane) Elmer, Paul (Jeannie) Rawlins, Richard (Julianne) Rawlins, 18 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren, her sister Myrna Laird, and brother, Don (Judy) Carter. Carol is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Elva Bigelow Carter, a daughter Sheri Rawlins, a brother Jesse "Keith" Carter, and a sister, Velma Anderson.
A Funeral Service for Carol Rawlins will be held on Monday, at 11:00 AM at Battle Creek 7th Ward, 1106 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North, American Fork, UT 84003, and from 9:45 to 10:45 AM on Monday at Battle Creek 7th Ward Chapel.
