Carol Harding Bair Harmer, Age 88, passed away in Lindon, Utah on April 28th, 2018 with family by her side. Carol was born December 19th, 1929 in Fairview, Idaho. She was the 4th of 7 children from the late Alonzo Hazelton Harding and Margaret Rue Larsen.
Carol began her schooling at Preston High School, and then married Lavelle on September 14th, 1946. She lived in Fairview and Idaho Falls, Idaho before moving to Ogden, Utah to raise her family in 1951. Carol then completed her degree in Ogden, and graduated with her associates in nursing from Weber State College. She worked as a dedicated RN for many years at the Dee Hospital and McKay Dee Hospital. She raised 7 children with a heart full of love and home full of music. Carol loved singing, and was a member of many choirs, including the Celeste Singers. She was a talented seamstress, quilter, and crocheter, and made everything for her family. In 1984 she divorced, later finding her beloved husband Orval. Carol and Orval were married in Provo on March 30th, 1993. They lived together in American Fork, Utah, together enjoying dance, exciting fishing trips, and international travel tours together.
Carol had such a fond love for her children and family. She is survived by 6 of her 8 children, Carolyn White (Pete) Hammond, Douglas Harding (Kaye) Bair, Lorraine (Dennis) Porter, Kenneth Harding (Christine) Bair, Wendell Harding (Barbara) Bair, Shauna Lee Kirkland,  And Son-in-law Dean Carlsen, step-children James LaCell (Doris) Harmer, Linda (Gary) Norman, Annette (Daniel) Ellis, and 28  biological grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, and her siblings Norma Symanski and Thomas Blake Harding. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands LaVelle Barlow Bair and Orval LaCell Harmer, two daughters Ruelonda Bair, who passed after birth, and Sheila Bair Carlsen, step-daughters Eloise Long, and Evelyn Vincent, as well as one great- grandchild.
Special thanks to The Seville in Orem, The Osmond Senior Living Center in Lindon, and Dignity Hospice Care for their sincere and heartfelt care over the years Orval's passing.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 AM at the American Fork LDS Stake Center, 240 Center Street. Viewing to proceed from 9:45 to 10:45 AM, same location.
Internment in Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Anderson & Sons Mortuary.
