He enjoyed working in Jackson Hole with family and was a good cook. Family members enjoyed playing games with Byron and watching movies. He was a compassionate and kind brother, companion and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Roger and Kerstin Carlson and sister, Sherri Carlson. He is survived in death by sisters Sonja Prutzman, Solvieg Carlson, and Lori, and his brother Lance Carlson. He has many nieces and nephews that think fondly of him.
The family would like to share a poem by his girlfriend, Cherolyn.
"The time has come, my course is set, my last call out, I won't forget. I've fought my battles, stood my ground, no longer bound, no longer bound. I'm leaving now with strength and grace to find my own and my own space. The sun dips low, a fading light, no more the rush, no more the strain, just quiet thoughts, a gentle rain. I have lived my life, I've seen the day, now time to rest and fade away. My last call out a whisper plea, to find some peace and finally be free."
Immediate family service will be held Friday, March 21st.
