Brian Curtis McCarty, age 78, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2015 in American Fork, UT. Born June 25, 1937 to James Cragun and Anna Loree Morris McCarty in Salt Lake City, UT. Brian was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Wendy Carol Slayton on February 2, 2000.
He was an accountant. He loved singing and serving in the San Diego Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy, two sons from his first wife (Rose Ann Stapley, who is deceased): Kimball McCarty of Japan and Kyle McCarty of Orem, Utah, 5 grandchildren (who are also in Japan) and a brother Eric McCarty. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, William (Bill) McCarty.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 10:00 a.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. Viewing will be from 8:45-9:45 prior to services. Burial at Salem Cemetery, 130 East 965 South, Salem, UT. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
