Brandy Rasmussen, age 46, passed away peacefully with her loving parents beside her on August 2, 2024, in Lehi, Utah. She was born in Provo, Utah, on June 19, 1978, to Rick & Cindy Rasmussen.
Brandy spent most of her childhood in Orem, Utah, growing up with one older sister and two younger brothers. Brandy was a beautiful dancer and performed in many places as a child with her dance team, including Disneyland and Disneyworld. She also loved to play the piano and spent many evenings playing for her family, bringing a sweet peace to everyone in the room. Brandy participated in the Miss Highland Pageant as a young woman and had a great time being a part of that experience.
Brandy was such a fun person to be around! She was known for her feisty and playful spirit and would often encourage her young nieces and nephews to jump on the bed or start a water fight. She had a creative imagination and always found a way to find the fun in a situation.
Brandy struggled with many health issues throughout her life, but she never let those physical hardships get her down or stop her from sharing her beautiful smile with the people around her. She was an example of patience and grace to her family and friends. She never complained and would always try to communicate how very grateful she was for the support and care she received. Brandy had a deep and abiding love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She relied on her faith throughout her life and tried each day to emulate it by spreading love and tenderness.
Brandy's passing leaves a void in the lives of her family, friends, and caregivers, and she will be deeply missed. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, her playful spirit, and her unconditional love.
Brandy is survived by her caring parents, Rick & Cindy Rasmussen: her siblings, sister Danielle (Justin) Johansen, brother Jake (Crystal) Rasmussen, and brother Jordan Rasmussen: her nephews, Chase, Jet, Ruke and Bekk: her nieces, Haven, Sway, and Tatum, and her loving grandma, Carol Rasmussen.
Brandy is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Clair Rasmussen, Jack Cooper, and Warren Grossgebauer, and her adoring grandmother, Jeri Grossgebauer.
