Blair Earl Reynolds
January 11, 1962 – August 12, 2021
Blair Earl Reynolds, age 59, died Wednesday, August 12, 2021 in his home from complications of a heart defect he had managed since birth. He was born in Ames, Iowa to James and Carrie Reynolds.
Blair lived in a variety of American cities over the course of his life, including Ames, Iowa; Ypsilanti, Michigan; Columbia, Missouri; Fairbanks, Alaska; Oahu, Hawaii; Seattle, Washington; and finally in Arizona, where he spent the last 18 years of his life.
He attended college and photography school, receiving a degree in pharmaceuticals to become a certified pharmaceutical technician. He had a love for acquiring knowledge and truth, and did not suffer fools gladly. Those with closed minds angered him.
While attending University of Missouri, Blair and peers started a publishing company, where Blair played an integral role in the illustrative capacity. He also authored and illustrated his own book series. He was a talented artist, specializing in drawing people and animals with pen and ink.
His life-long passion was his love and care for animals, especially for dogs. Some even called him a "dog whisperer." Of those most dear to him was Beatrice the St. Bernard, whom he adored like an only daughter. She passed away October 31, 2016.
Blair and his wife, Toni, met as teenagers in Missouri, but they went their separate ways and reconnected in Mesa, Arizona 30 years later. They were married September 27, 2013 and later sealed in the Mesa, Arizona temple for time and all eternity.
Blair was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was grateful near the end of his life for his ability and stamina to serve in various callings and cultivate his relationship with his Father in Heaven.
Blair was preceded in death by his mother Carrie Jane Robinson Reynolds, and he is survived by his ife Toni Engle Warner, his father James Blair Reynolds, his sisters Debra Fullmer, Robin Ormsby, Heather Averett, and brothers James and Joshua Reynolds. His step-children and ten step-grandchildren feel fortunate to have spent these last few years with him.
