Beth Marie Wheadon Winget (97) passed away on December 10, 2020 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was born July 9, 1923 in South Jordan, Utah. Parents are Asial Winward Wheadon and Verona Leone Wheadon. She married her sweetheart Albert Winget September 8, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Manti, Utah Temple on June 1, 1963. They were married 52 years. They had two daughters, Abbie Marie Phillips, and Nancy Lee Gould.
She loved her family and gathering together and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a homemaker, great cook, good at sewing, and crocheting. Her and Dad loved to camp, fish, go deer hunting and rode trail bikes for many years together. She loved music (especially Elvis) and dancing. Her nickname her younger brother gave her was BeBe.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she and Dad served a mission doing Old English Extraction in Saint George and then called to do sealing work in the Saint George Temple.
Beth was proceeded in death her husband, Albert Winget December 6, 1993 and her daughter Abbie February 22, 2000. Beth was the last of her siblings to pass away. Siblings that proceeded her death are: LeJune Verona Olson, Robert J. Wheadon, Thora Geraldine (Jerry) Patterson, Dean Asial Wheadon.
Survivors include daughter Nancy Lee Gould, son-in-law Larry Gene Gould, 9 grandchildren Lee Knight, David Knight, Rodney Knight, Jon Halsey, Ray Espeland, Shaunna Marie Paxman, Lore Lee Sharp, Justin Gene Gould, Buck Carl Gould, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
What a wonderful reunion she is having with all of her family, we are so happy for her after enduring so many years with Alzheimer’s. We want to thank the workers at the Alpine Care Center that has taken care of her for so long. In lieu of flowers the family requests you make a donation to your local food pantry.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland Utah. A visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Veterans Memorial Park and Cemetery.
