Annette Shurtleff was born (June 2,1950) in Pocatello, Idaho to Mark and Sue Shurtleff. She married Newell Lynn Turner in the LDS Bountiful temple Sept 26 1969. He preceded her to heaven in 2017.
She lived a life full of blessings and challenges. Lynn was a Navy man so they moved often. They started putting down solid roots when they moved to West Valley City, Utah Her loving nature and likable personality helped gain her life long friends everywhere they moved. They finally settled down in American Fork 1990 where they lived until the end.
Lynn and Annette always loved to travel. They enjoyed life whether snowmobiling through Yellowstone or scuba diving off the cost of Tahiti, or just spending time with friends and family. Annette loved her family, and loved spending time with friends, she and Lynn shared many hobbies and worked crafts together for many years.
She had a life filled with service to others as well as in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Working with groups like the cub scouts and within the temple she served as well as making an impact on all the lives she come in contact with.
Annette was able to go to formal school and get her associates degree from Idaho State, she also attended Provo college, watching her daughter get a degree in Graphic Design she lite her love of art and followed suite also getting her Graphic Design degree. When it came to learning she was like a sponge, reading and listening to Audio books were always playing. It wasn't uncommon when someone came to visit she had to put the audio book on pause.
She was lost to us on her way home to American Fork on June 20, 2023, after spending a few days with family at her cabin in Idaho, enjoying one of her favorite places in the world.
She is leaving behind a legacy of love and caring of all who knew her. Often no matter what she was doing she had a way of touching the lives of those around her. She will be lovingly remembered for her kindness to others and her calming influence in their lives.
Annette is survived by her son, Ryan, his wife Heather, son Adam, and daughter Tracy; a younger brother, Scott Shurtleff, a sister in law Teresa, brother in law Chad and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 26 at 4:00 pm at the church (address). A viewing will be held one hour prior. Burial will be in Pocatello, Idaho. 1 pm on the 27th.
